Design Presentation at MTS Meeting
Mechatronics recently had the opportunity of presenting the design of our autonomous underwater vehicle, Perseverance, at the San Diego's Marine Technology Society (MTS) monthly meeting. We got great feedback and made some connections! A big thank you to MTS for the opportunity. Check out their monthly series at http://www.mts-sandiego.org/. #mts #bluetech #RoboSub #presentation

Finalizing Projects and AHRS Testing
This week a couple of designer and apprentice projects have been coming to a close such as the hydras mounts, which have been finalized and printed, lid handles, which have also been finalized, a new GUI for labeling images for computer vision, and PCB milling. Many mechanical recruits have made great progress in their project proposals and are either finalizing designs or beginning manufacturing. Software recruits are now learning how to use Arduinos, and electrical recruits

Recruit Projects
All new recruits have been assigned projects that are estimated to be completed within the upcoming month. Software recruits are working on the computer vision basics doing hue, saturation, value (HSV) filtering, canny edge detection, Hough circles, and contour analysis. Mechanical recruits have been tasked to design external LED mounts and protective bumpers for Perseverance as well as obstacles, and torpedoes to test with. Electrical recruits were given Arduino projects to

First GBM of the Fall 2017 Semester
Mechatronics is back at it this 2017 Fall semester with our first General Body Meeting (GBM) of the new school year! This year we will be focused on refining Perseverance's electrical, mechanical, and software components with more than 20 new Recruits! We will also be branching out to take on more challenges, do more outreach, test more than ever, and integrate our new members. Keep updated on our current projects and progress with our instagram page #sdsumechatronics
