Drew Smith - Electrical Team Lead

Joining the team in Fall 2014, Drew showed strong dedication that elevated him to the Electrical Team Lead position that next semester. Charged with the testing and fabrication of Defiance in time for the 2015 competition, Drew lead his team with his predecessor, Josh Pritts, to deliver a robust electrical system that was integral to taking first place. Drew also supported the school's engineering curriculum as a technical advisor to the Electrical and Computer Senior Design class. Drew obtained his bachelor's in electrical engineering in 2016 and now works in the utility power industry and is a licensed PE in California. An enthusiast of sUAS, Drew also obtained his FAA Part 107 certification.
