Austin Owens - President and Software Lead

Austin founded Mechatronics in 2011. He served as President and Software Lead for the various projects Mechatronics developed. In 2013, he worked on the Hydrophobe prototype for the International RoboSub Competition. Austin went on to create the software suite for Endeavor, the 2014 competition vehicle. Austin graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 and currently works at Innoflight.

Josh Pritts - Electrical Lead

Josh joined Mechatronics in February 2013. Before transferring to SDSU, he served in the US Navy as an aircraft electrician from 2004 to 2009, and he successfully led a near space balloon project as President of the Cuyamaca College Engineering Organization in 2012. Josh served as the Electrical Lead for the Hydrophobe, Endeavor and shared the position for Defiance. Josh graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2015 and currently works at Innoflight.

Rodrigo Leon-Alvarez - Mechanical Lead

Josh joined Mechatronics in February 2013.
